Mission

This association is a legally established and non-profit social organization and is dedicated to assisting people with a language barrier through interpreting in the judicial process in Taiwan territory.

Tasks

In accordance to the spirit of the "International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights" and the connotation of "Act to Implement the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights", our main tasks include:

First, to promote a language fair environment across relevant sectors in Taiwan territory in handling of judicial cases and to assist government agencies in dealing with judicial cases involving participants of foreign languages;

Second, to safeguard basic human rights in Taiwan territory for people who have a language barrier;

Third, to improve accuracy and reliability of judicial interpreters participating in all sorts of judicial cases;

Fourth, to maintain and strive for basic privileges of judicial interpreters; and
Fifth, to improve and promote good judicial interpreter systems;

Our additional tasks are as follows:

First, to facilitate better understanding of government decrees and help language minorities through interpreting with counseling of better life adjustment;

Second, to aide in interpreting for community and public services.
